The wearing of full school uniform is mandated at Sydney Technical High School, as agreed by the school community. Wearing of the uniform is compulsory at school and at all school activities, unless otherwise notified. Uniform must be worn correctly: shirts tucked in, ties up to the collar and caps removed when inside buildings. Long socks must be worn with shorts.

All uniform items can be purchased from Lowes at Hurstville. There is a Second Hand Uniform Shop at the school run by volunteers.  The shop is open every second Tuesday of the month from 10.30-12 noon and a range of items may be purchased very reasonably.

Out of uniform:

If a student cannot wear complete school uniform then he must obtain a uniform pass from one of the Deputy Principals or the Head Teacher Administration before first period. If the period of non-conformity is for more than one day, a note should be supplied. Students who do not meet this requirement may find themselves on detention.
